With an incredible attendance and a refreshing look at professional networking the Nordic Chambers in Toronto held the first Young Professionals event in the series on September 26th led by Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce. Below you will find a full recap of the event by the CFCC.
Hosted by the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce, our inaugural Young Professionals event was a resounding success, with close to 50 participants joining us for an evening of networking, learning, and fun!
The event kicked off with a presentation by Marika Arovuo, President of the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce, who introduced the concept and the organizing chambers, including the Swedish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Danish Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce.
Following this, Nokia provided an informative presentation about the company’s history and the exciting career opportunities they offer. Participants then heard interesting and inspiring stories from multiple current and former Nokia employees about their careers with the company, offering unique insights into the industry.
Participants also enjoyed delicious snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks, creating a relaxed atmosphere for mingling and conversation. The evening wrapped up with an engaging session on networking skills, helping our young professionals expand their connections and build valuable relationships.
The night continued at a nearby pub, offering a relaxed setting for further conversation and connections.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this event truly memorable. We’re grateful for the support from the fellow Nordic chambers and the wonderful team at Nokia for hosting us in their amazing space.
Special thanks to DSV for providing refreshing Carlsberg inspired drinks!
Stay tuned for more exciting events in the near future – we can’t wait to see you all again!
